The Porsche-engine for the Capitan

is in Oval57`s basement now. The plan is to start working on it as soon as possible. The 25 HP did start and are also ready for the car.

Visiting T2man`s garage

This garage is one of the cleanest and with the most beautiful cars - and they are beeing used thru the summer, all five. The owner of the 5 outstanding cars is a man of details and eye for HIGH finish. Many thank`s to T2man for his hospitality last nigt for the Nordic VW classic meeting (with SCC). You can see that Sechs volt is present in the garage!

Hard as nails

The year is 1953, and someone is spanking their split vert across something similar to a field of mud. Must have been fun, but it's no wonder some of these cars needs restoration after beeing found in a barn. Not all convertibles were used only as transportation to church every sunday it seems. When will we see Fürsten recreating these photos with his freshly restored baby?

Trial fitting vert parts

Mr. Metalshaper gave us a guided tour in his workshop yesterday. He's magic hands creates metalpieces like no other guy I've seen so far! Lots of details are now coming along on the 51 vert.

The first step...

Floorpan on wheels again!

Last night in the hall outside our garage, a pleasant sight. The floorpan of the captain is once again on wheels, all fresh with new brakes, bearings etc.

ORIGINALPOLIZEI must comment on the use of later 15" wheels and 60's wheel paint pattern, but some other, nice period correct 16" stuff is lying nearby and will be added at a later stage! =)

Yesterday the Sechs volt garage got prominent guest from the legendary SCREWDRIVERS. RocketRacing did not show up in his oh-so-cool 57 this time, but in a another VAG-product. (But he did drive the cal-look last week, when everybody had stored away their car for the winter). His great car is presented in the blog of course.

Splitboy did make som muffins and the coffe is always ready in the garage. Thank you for a nice evening in the workshop.

Sechs volt at dinner

Wednesday the Sechs volt boys did meet in Oslo instead of the garage. We were eating "flesk and duppe" and drinking beer and aquavit. We were planning the great meeting in Hessich Oldendorf in juni 2009. But next wednesday we will be in the garage again, only drinking Coca-Cola from glassbotles and eating norwegian milkchocolate.
