Sechs volt waiting for summer

It is snow and cold out here in Norway. Our cars is in the barn, and just wait for some hot asfalt under the tires. This picture can make us dream and look forward to the commning aircooled season.

The old 6V crank and flywheel had their final holes drilled tonight....to prepare for next summer's abuse  =)

I simply love the fact that lots of guys out there are willing to make parts that are very hard to find. When you make parts like this you can not expect to sell alot because there is probably just a handfull of potencial buyers on the globe.. Thank you Sascha!

Preparing for summer...

December has past, and we are finally moving towards brighter days...!
While it's still lots of snow and freezing outside, a dim headlight is burning inside the low voltage barn....

SCC2010 DVD - featuring sechs volt

Norway's premier vw event - SCC, recently launched the 2010 dvd. We were pleased to see a well-known sechs volt car on the backside of the cover - knechten's oldspeed switter! The DVD features both lots of vintage cars and drag racers alike...we'll be there 19. - 21. august 2011 as well.... =) The DVD can be purchased at  http://www.sccevent.com/

Loading the canon for OCC

Forces within the Sechs Volt Garage are stepping up to defend the Norwegian colors in central Europe sometime next summer. A selection of Old Speed Canons are rumored to hit the roads in a fierce battle between German engineering, home brewed ingenuety and a bit madness. The Abarth Zwitter will be ready to fight in the small displacement class, and we gladly eat Okrasa and Judson engines for breakfast... Prepare yourselves in the south; we are loading the canon with balls of steel... and sliding into our outlaw shirts =)

Driving in the rain

Sometimes you should wish you were at home and had your pride and joy parked inside. But yellow sechs volt bulbs and the wipers did a great job on the way home. Driving with original dim on the rubber is no problem. *Oval57*

Please don't Hurst me...

.. or do just that. Some of the Sechs volts have a soft spot for Hurst shifters, and combined with a nice girl it can't be wrong. She looks "Hurst Equipped" in the race suit =)

Young driver

Oval57`s little son Iver is already into old beetles. He was smiling when he heard the nice sound of the horn. One day he will be a passenger in this split, if his father install seatbelts.

SCC 2010

The SCC 2010 is over and the Sechs Volt crew are very pleased this year. Bigger, better and more spectacular than ever. The Vintage village had a selection of cars this year that really set the standard. We had a Karmann convertible line up counting 22 cars, we had the third oldest Karmann Ghia in the world, we had an original signwritten highroof split, we had a oldspeed lineup like never seen before in Norway, we had WW2 cars swimming and dirtriding in the forest, and we had a lot of visitors with outstanding cars. The level of cars was simply amazing... And yes, we had a well known samba bus driving around the Village after 35 years under water. And if you have not discovered what SCC is all about, be sure to check the photos and feedback on the internet, and make sure to not miss it in 2011.
