Double grooooooved
I've only seen two of these bumpers. One on a swedish split and the other one is stored in my basement :-) Both of them are rear bumpers. Is there a third out there somewhere??

At Møllers showroom in Oslo
Last night Møller, the Norwegian VW importer, had invited Veteran VW Klubben to their showroom in Oslo. Around 50 members showed up, and had a guided tour among the cars lined up. For the Sechs volt, the barndoor panel van and the split window beetle was the highlights of the tour. Then a Norwegian rallye legend, Monty Karlan with over 40 starts in the Monte Carlo rallye, showed some movies and shared some good stories. The response from the listeners was enthusiastic, and I think everyone had a great time. Maybe we see some challenge-rallye participants from the sechs volt garage in the future? *Knechten*

Reconstructing the split vert
Getting the vert back on the road will not be an easy task. I've been preparing the car and donor for a long trip tomorrow. The car will be left in the hands of a professional for a while.
Sorry about the bad picture of the donor car. Picture was taken before i bought it. Now its stored nice, clean and dry.

Porsche in agriculture
This weekend SplitBoy and Oval57 went for the annual grousehunting up in the cold mountains of Norway. The eyes are of course open and looking for something cool with engine. We found this piece of art. One 50`s Allgaier tractor with Porsche System. A few years later Porsche bougth the hole factory and made Porsche Diesel Junior for example.
We also found this supercool pre-war Buick which had been shortened, lost its body and made into a tractor "back in the days"....

14 000 HITS
To celebrate 14 000 visitors, we have to bring out one of our 6V babes again. This time photographed inside a red bus. Rumors says that a bus with red interior is coming in to our grage someday soon. Not so sure about the driver though...
Ready painted
Ah... finally the old Capitan is ready painted. Last nigth Splitboy dressed up in workingsuite and paintet the car with scanned color from one polished door from the car. It was a bit cold outside, but no flies. I am happy with the result, and can`t wait for rubbing it!

The Sechs volt project van has found a new home. The van stays on Norwegian hands and will probably be somewhat different than the van in the picture. Good luck with a van loaded with potensial... (The picture showing the true potensial of the van with wheels from Jøran ??)

SCC & Nordisk Klassisk VW treff 2008
Hebmüller, split cab, barndoors, THREE schwimwagens and alot of kübels was gathered this weekend. Even a Callook guru from the United States came to the show. This was by far the best nordic meeting i've ever attened. Here's some pictures for your pleasure.
All the pictures exept in the water, are taken right next to the staging line at the dragstrip were 9 second passes were served all weekend. That's what we call aircooled harmony. We are very greatful for having so many guests in the "vintage lounge". SCC and NKVW really did have something for everyone. About 1000 people and 400 aircooled VW's enjoyed this weekend.

SECHS VOLT SPIRIT AWARD
The sechs volt garage had a special price at this years combined meeting, the SCC 08 and the Nordisk Klassisk VW treff. The "Sechs Volt Spirit Award" was handed out at the prize ceremony to a car selected by the Sechs Volt jury. This years winner was Isak Syverhuset from Norway, with his "untouched" 1950 T1 beetle. The jurys recommendations was based on, the correctness of the car, keeping it with all the atmosphere left in the car, and not at least for not slamming it with modern alloys. It's nothing strange about old men and a stock car, but we honour a young man for seeing the value of such a car. Of course it was road driven to the meeting.

SCC & Nordisk Klassisk VW treff 2008
Finally the summer is reaching it's climax in Norway, and the VW gathering of the year is just around the corner. The Sechs Volt Garage are happy to be among the organizers at this years SCC at Gardermoen Raceway. We will be at the vintage lounge of the event, in an area called "Nordisk Klassisk VW Treff 2008". We have specially invited guest with some of the oldest and most interessting VW's in Norway and Scandinavia. Rumors says that more schwimm and kübelwagens can turn up during the weekend. If your VW buddies are going to SCC 15. to 17.
